The material for this file was obtained from the Onondaga County Public Library's
copy of The American Genealogist, volume XIII, pages 21-31, 166-180, and 269.
The library owns from volume IX onward.
The call number is R929.05/AM29.
I was pleased to discover that Donald Lines Jacobus, author of the genealogy of the Edward Wooster family, was the editor of The American Genealogist at the time1936-1937this data was published.
Insofar as possible I have maintained the original formatline breaks, indentations, relative font size, etc. Let us hope that typos at critical spots are at a minimum. If in doubt consult the orignal printed material.
Do not neglect to check the additions and corrections (of the first portion only) that originally appeared on page 180 of the journal and that are included at the end of the file. I strongly suspect that the journal also on later pages contained additions and corrections for the concluding portion of the article. Unfortunately, I wasn't alert enough to look for them at the time I photocopied the material. I shall try to correct this omission at a later time.

"Each in his narrow cell forever laid,
The rude forefathers of the hamlet sleep."
How fitting these words to describe the last resting place of
those simple folks who comprised in days gone by this small com-
munity, now almost forgotten, but in the stirring days of '76
bustling with the activities of the Tories, as told by Israel
Warren in "Chauncey Judd," a true story of the Revolution.
The cemetery is located in the Millville section of Naugatuck,
near the Middlebury and Oxford lines. The following list
includes both inscriptions and office records. Annotations in
smaller type are placed below each record.
